UWSC Holding a Ribbon Cutting to the Next 60 Years
|
|
United Way of Story County (UWSC) will hold a ribbon cutting on Monday, July 8 at 1:30 p.m. in its office at 315 Clark Ave., Ames. In honor of its 60th anniversary, a “60th Social for Social Media” is planned. A brief presentation, ice cream social and a kickoff to UWSC’s Twitter feed (@LiveUnitedStory) will be included in the program. July 8 is 60 days before Sept. 6, this year’s date for the countywide kickoff of the LIVE UNITED campaign.

5th Annual LIVE UNITED Food Drive a success!

UWSC Kicks Off LIVE UNITED Food Drive May 13
|
One in four students in Story County is eligible to receive free/reduced lunch. Once summer break starts, these children won’t have access to school-provided meals. Therefore, the need for food at local food pantries is even greater during the summer months. To combat the need, United Way of Story County (UWSC) will hold the 5th annual LIVE UNITED Food Drive May 13-23, 2013.
