Ros Dunblazier and Adam Riedell, Co-Chairs of the 2009 Nevada United Way of Story County Campaign, announced that the Nevada Campaign raised $100,131, a record amount!  The announcement was made at the United Way of Story County Campaign Celebration on Monday, December 7, at The Hilton Garden Inn in Ames .

The overall United Way of Story County 2009 Campaign total is $1,615,425, also a record.

Ros Dunblazier, Co-Chair of the 2009 Nevada UWSC Campaign, said, “Every year a dedicated core group of community leaders form the Nevada United Way Campaign Cabinet. The Cabinet has spearheaded successful fund raising campaigns year after year. This year was no exception. By interacting with Nevada business owners and their employees, local citizens, churches and organizations raised a record $100,131 for use by UWSC in Nevada and Story County .  The Nevada community truly saw the need and responded. I am proud to be part of the Nevada United Way Campaign Cabinet and the Nevada community. Thank you, everyone, for your generosity.”

Members of the Nevada Campaign Cabinet included:  Vicki Barker . Loyd Brown , Mark Cahill , Sara Clausen, Wayne Clinton, Jim Frevert , Michelle Fullerton, Samantha Houston, Rick Hugdahl, Doug Johnson, Steve Lekwa, Carolyn Manning, Ralph Manning, Jerry Martinson, Steve McGill, Joe Melcher, Marilyn Nelson, Kim Supercynski, Mike Tupper, Jim Walker and Beth Williams.

Dunblazier and Riedell emphasized that the campaign is not over.  Contributions continue to come in and fundraising efforts will continue through the next weeks and months. 

Funds raised will support over 87 core programs and initiatives that impact over 30,000 citizens of Story County , including Nevada .
