Nonprofit Management Series offers ‘Four Steps to Program Impact’

ISU Extension & Outreach has partnered with United Ways of Story and Marshall County to present the 2015 Nonprofit Management Series. The series includes half-day classes designed for staff in the nonprofit business community. These opportunities are meant to enhance nonprofit knowledge and skills. Nonprofit managers, employees, volunteers and board members are invited to attend.
 
The August 27 session, ‘Four Steps to Program Impact’, will be facilitated by Nancy Franz, emeritus professor, ISU School of Education.
                                                             
Participants will be introduced to a four step model to articulate, measure, and report program/project impact. The model will then be applied to participant's current programs or projects. Templates and examples of a program logic model, evaluation plan, scorecard and other tools will be provided.
 
The next and final session of the Mini Non Profit Management Academy will be ‘The Eight Essential Functions of the Board of Directors’ and will be held October 22. 
 
Sessions will open with registration at 8:30 a.m., sessions start at 9 a.m. and run until noon. All sessions will be held at the Marshall County Extension Office – 2608 S 2nd St, Marshalltown.
 
All sessions are $25 and include refreshments. Registration must be received no less than three days prior to class. Payments may be mailed to: Marshall County Extension, 2608 S 2nd St, Marshalltown, IA 50158.
